I bought this book originally to support Adam and his battle against brain cancer, but what I found in this book is huge amount inspiration。 This book showed me how many similarities there are with puppetry and other forms of performing arts。 This is not merely a book about puppets, but a book about writing, cinematography, and acting。 I never really considered that, but I now realize why I was drawn to puppets as a kid and still now。 I will say that this book doesn’t teach how to physically mak I bought this book originally to support Adam and his battle against brain cancer, but what I found in this book is huge amount inspiration。 This book showed me how many similarities there are with puppetry and other forms of performing arts。 This is not merely a book about puppets, but a book about writing, cinematography, and acting。 I never really considered that, but I now realize why I was drawn to puppets as a kid and still now。 I will say that this book doesn’t teach how to physically make the puppet (he does have resources though), but the character and personality itself。 Adam makes a lot of points about practicing and that you don’t have to be perfect, but you do need to just “do。” I tend to forget and ignore this when it comes to any art form I may be learning, but this book was a good kick in the tush to be mindful of that。Although I might not be making a puppet show anytime soon, this has inspired me to keep pushing forward with other creative pursuits, even if they seem difficult at the current time。 Also, it’s just a very interesting read to see what all goes into producing television puppetry。 。。。more

Adam Kreutinger has figured out how to make puppetry fun and accessible。 He has a way about him that seems to channel playfulness with a side of "who to"。 The book is a wonderful primer for accessing the world of puppets。 The book does not specifically go over building puppets, but it does direct you to some online resources。 I recommend this book for teens and young adults looking to get into the production of a puppet show or vlog。 Adam Kreutinger has figured out how to make puppetry fun and accessible。 He has a way about him that seems to channel playfulness with a side of "who to"。 The book is a wonderful primer for accessing the world of puppets。 The book does not specifically go over building puppets, but it does direct you to some online resources。 I recommend this book for teens and young adults looking to get into the production of a puppet show or vlog。 。。。more
